Let’s face it, we’ve all been taken in by a practical joke or two. Me? I love dishing them out. However, no one does it better than the Interwebs on April Fool’s Day. Here’s what I’ve found so far:
- Yahoo! Confirms MS Merger, Name Change
- Announcing Project Virgle – Virgin Group and Google team up to colonize Mars
- YouTube Rickrolls all featured videos – sweet!
- Gmail Custom Time
- eHarmony Founder Finds Love on Match.com
- Flying Penguins Found by BBC Programme
- Google Australia lets you search content before it’s created
- BMW Canine Repellent Wheels
- World of Warcraft Molten Core for Atari 2600
- NASA – Liquid Water on Mars!
- Google Book Search Now Smells Better
- ThinkGeek – Betamax to HD DVD Converter
- Shoemoney tells us how to make $1,000 in an hour
- Paul at UberAffiliate (tries to) Rickroll his readers
- Google to Acquire U.S. Government
And, of course Wikipedia has a very comprehensive list of today’s pranks. If you need even more, here are the Top 100 of all time courtesy of Museum of Hoaxes.
Also, don’t click on those emails you might have received today wishing you a Happy April Fool’s Day. The link is malware known as the Storm Worm.
Happy April Fool’s fools!
